On the Iron Range, we have a strong polish heritage. We’ve all likely tasted this traditional ethnic food with butter, cheese, and potatoes fillings. YUM But have you ever made Pierogis at home? With deep respect and love for her polish heritage, Doris Kolgji will instruct this wonderful class on how to make pierogie. Now you can learn to make Pierogi in this Saturday afternoon hands-on community education class. Learn how to make these pillowy, chewy, crispy, Polish dumplings at home. Pierogi are part of a wonderful polish tradition. You will learn to make these using the time-honored style of potato and cheese filling. In this class, you will not only make pierogis, eat pierogi but each Pierogi Maker will take a dozen take home. YUMMY
Our instructor learned to make pierogis from her Polish-born grandma. She has taught the Art of Pierogis to hundreds of 6th-grade students and their parents over her thirty-year teaching career.
Pierogi is Poland’s national dish and is enjoyed year-round by all ages. As Pierogi have been made in Poland since the 13th century. Sign up for this class and you can make these delicious polish dumplings.
