I am a 1990 graduate of Ely High School and I have had a variety of experiences both as a shop teacher and in the private sector. I started my teaching career in White Bear Lake High School and Stillwater High School where I taught everything from welding, woodshop, and auto mechanics. Then I left teaching, moved to Virginia MN and started a remodeling business. I was self-employed for 13 years and specialized in kitchens, baths, doors, windows, decks. During that time I had my own woodshop and built numerous kitchens, vanities and furniture for clients all over the Iron Range. I returned to the classroom in 2016 at Mesabi East High School and have been at Ely now for the last 5 years where I hope to stay until my teaching career is over.
